Stephanie and Anthony Pre- shoot

Another gorgeous evening down the bay... The wedding is taking place at The New House Hotel The pre- shoot went really well as both of them soon got into it... In fact it took about 5 mins for them- No problem... If I did not know any better I would have thought that they had done a bit of photo posing homework from our website in preparation!
Steph [as with quite a few of this years clients] has got gorgeous deep  blue eyes, which we will emphasise in the wedding book

Rhia and Peter's Pre- Shoot

A Gorgeous evening was spent with Rhia and Peter at Cosmeston lakes, Summer evenings have a warm quality of light that Gail and I personally love to use at weddings and pre-shoots. Rhia and Peter are having their reception at St Donats Art centre, one of our favourite venues in South Wales- Gorgeous gardens set in the grounds of the 14th Century castle, that lead down to the private beach... We are looking forward to working there again this year...

Beth and Spencer at The Vale of Glamorgan Hotel

Beth and Spencer held their reception at the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel. I met up with Spencer at his place around 10.00am where he was getting ready with his best man, At 11.00am we were at the pub- next to the church. Beth and Gail were not far away- In fact a ten minute walk. Gail was recognized by Beths brother, who remembered her from their school days at - Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaff , [ dont ask me to pronounce it!!!] in Llandaff. I was hoping to be filled in on some of Gails school secrets but alas- I was informed that she was a good girl who did not get into trouble.....hmmmm.

Beth and Mike's Wedding at Cwrt Bleddyn

Yet another camper van wedding!!! The ceremony was held at St Julius and Aaron Church Newport, a gorgeous church where Gail and I were able to photograph throughout the ceremony..Of course we did not use our flashguns and kept well out of sight... the reception was held at Cwrt Bleddyn, Usk..

Rhian and Dave's Pre-shoot

Dramatic light in Cardiff Bay provided a great backdrop for their pre-shoot, and proved to us just how good the Nikon D3 Camera can handle low-light situations, an absolute Rolls Royce of Digital 35mm's....Wedding photography Cardiff South Wales

Pre-shoot scores Gail vs John

We ask every couple to choose their favourite shot from the Pre Shoot so that we can bring it along to the wedding and have all the guests scribe their best wishes to the newly weds.

Gail and I have a competition each year to see who is in most demand..... The winner gets taken out for dinner, the loser inevitably gets a good ribbing from the whole family....

Result so far...

Gail has come storming from behind to make it.....

5-4 in her favour....
[ Mind you it isnt even half time yet].

Sam and Che's Pre- Wedding Shoot

Met Sam and Che down the bay, Went through all the Wedding details and had a really good time creating some lush photo's. Its Sooo important to get rid of any camera nerves before the wedding day, mind you Sam and Che were no problem! They are having their wedding in August at Glen Yr Afon Hotel and have got an action packed day full of surprises for their guests which we cant mention here, but it is promising to be a full on day!!!Wedding photography Cardiff South Wales

Tracey and Chris Decourcy's Cardiff South Wales

Arrived at Chris's to find him sipping pink champagne in the back garden, the kids were totally immersed in the playstation... Laid back bunch!!! Gail reported that it was the same with Tracey and the girls !!! Things were a little different when Chris was stood waiting for Tracy to appear at the alter. Again the weather was gorgeous, warm red glow in late afternoon, early evening- just love it for shooting atmospheric shots....Wedding photography Cardiff South Wales

Jason and Eleanor's wedding at Clearwell Castle

Our first time at Clearwell Castle- We went on a 'recce' a few days earlier to familiarize ourselves with the location and staff . A beautiful and ideal setting for a wedding , the staff were really attentive and catered to everyones needs. Jason and Eleanor were great to work with too [ as were all the guests]. The fireworks at the end of the evening were splendid and really topped off an A1 day for all.Wedding photography Cardiff South Wales

First Wedding pre-shoot to hit our blog- Nat and Mat

Gorgeous evening, warm sunlight- perfect for a pre shoot! And Nat and Mat turned out to be a great couple to work with. As with everyone Nat and Mat did not know what to expect, thankfully they enjoyed it!! The Pre-shoot is the time where we can all get to know one another a little, so that on the Wedding day you know what to expect with Gail and myself-and we know what to expect from you!  Rather than two strangers with cameras who you booked and last saw 1 or 2 years ago [ as was the case here!] you will be well prepared for our arrival on the morning of the big day. You will be assured of our photo capabilities and familiar with our personalities and therefore nice and relaxed in front of the lens. Enough ranting and view a few shots.....

Rachel and Alun at Coed-y-mwstwr

Rachel and Alun's wedding at Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel, our second wedding at this location this year, and the weather was great. Rachels sister surprised them with a 'dove release' provided by Lynne and Rod of Loveydovey uk. It was the first time we had worked with Lynne and Rod [ and the birds!!!] and look forward to working with them again as it added to the atmosphere of the day in such a positive manner.Wedding photography Cardiff South Wales
